The quarter commenced with Vesti App, one of our fintech companies, being selected by StartupGrind to showcase its innovative product at the prestigious 2023 Global Conference held in Redwood City, California from April 10th-12th.

Founder Folake Owodunni of Emergency Response Africa emerged victorious in the pitch competition at the renowned MIT Sloan Africa Innovate Conference. This annual event brings together industry leaders, investors, academics, and decision-makers from Africa and beyond to discuss business development and pioneering innovations.

Helium Health, a healthtech startup, successfully raised $30 million in Series B funding to bolster credit financing through its fintech solution, HeliumCredit. This latest funding round brings Helium Health’s total funding to an impressive $42.12 million, following their notable $10 million raised during the Series A round in 2020.

The founders of Healthtracka, LifeBank, and Emergency Response Africa, three of our portfolio companies, were featured on the iconic Nasdaq billboard in Times Square. This recognition came after their graduation from the Nasdaq Center Milestone Makers program, showcasing their dedication to excellence and innovation.

Termii, another standout startup in our portfolio, secured a significant funding round of $3.65 million, led by Ventures Platform, further propelling their growth and expansion plans.

Healthtracka celebrated its second anniversary, marking two successful years of delivering transformative healthcare solutions.

MDaas, a promising healthcare startup, was selected as one of the 25 African startups for the prestigious 3rd cohort of Google for Startups Black Founders Fund, recognizing their potential and innovation.

LifeBank, an alumni of Google for Startups, was recently featured for their pioneering use of AI in building a future where everyone, everywhere can lead a healthier life.

Andrew Garza, co-founder of LifestoresNG, had the opportunity to share insights and experiences on the StartupHealth podcast. He discussed how the company plans to leverage its $3 million funding to enhance drug procurement processes in West Africa, driving positive change in the region.
